1. 200 CLUB - SCHEME

BACKGROUND

The 200 Club is a ‘non-commercial small society lottery’ under the Gambling Act 2005 which has been registered with Stratford-on-Avon District Council & granted licence no. GA05 SDC 660483 dated 12 December 2023 (copy below). The licence was renewed on 7 November 2024 to expire on 10 December 2025 (copy below).

The ‘society’ in question is Birmingham & Solihull RFC (‘the Bees’). The ‘promoter’ of the lottery is Jeremy Smith, Director who may be contacted by email: membership@beesrugby.com .

AIM

The aim of the 200 Club is to provide vital regular monthly revenue for the Bees & a prize fund for 200 Club ticket purchasers (‘subscribers’).

OPERATION

Tickets shall cost £5.

Subscribers shall be provided with an electronic ticket that meets the requirements of the Gambling Act 2005 or any superseding legislation.

50% of the gross value of tickets sold (‘subscriptions’) shall be allocated to the Bees & 50% to the prize fund from which winning subscribers shall be paid.

The prize fund shall be divided between the three winners of each draw as follows: first prize 50%, second prize 30% & third prize 20%.

The Bees shall incur any administrative costs.

Draws shall take place:
• Calendar monthly for the subscription periods September – April, (other than exceptionally) in the following calendar month.
• In September for the subscription periods May – August (a single ‘super draw’).
• At the Bees’ Portway ground (unless for some reason access is not possible) & ticket numbers shall be drawn by a person who is not a 200 Club subscriber.

Winners shall be notified electronically & the result of each draw (including winners' names) published on the Bees website & any other ‘social media’ of the Bees the promoter decides in his sole discretion to use/authorise.

Although called the ‘200 Club’ it may operate whether or not it has sold more or less than 200 tickets for a particular draw.

Payment for tickets may be made calendar monthly by standing order or in a lump sum covering more than one calendar month.

A subscriber may buy more than one ticket for a calendar month.

We ask that subscribers either:
• set up a standing order of £5 (or multiples thereof) by internet banking or,
• make a single payment covering the number of calendar months remaining to (& including) the following August by internet banking. Payment details are contained in the form below.

However subscribers can also:
• pay for a given period at Portway by debit/credit card, cheque or cash.
• complete the standing order form below & deliver it to their bank/building society.

Once you have done this please notify 200 Club administrator Mike Podmore by email (mike@lyttelton.plus.com). Otherwise please complete the subscription notification form below & post it to / leave it at Portway (with the standing order form detached if you have completed it).

And remember: the more you subscribe on a monthly basis the higher your chances of winning!
